This April, Transportation Services is celebrating 35 years of U-PASS at the University of Washington with events, activities, and an opportunity to recognize the program that helps keep our campus moving every day. While U-PASS officially launched in September 1991, April's designation as Earth Month makes it the perfect time to highlight the role transit plays in building a more sustainable campus and community.
Since its launch, U-PASS has made it easier for students, faculty and staff to choose transit, reduce parking demand and lower our collective environmental impact. What began as a forward-thinking approach to campus transportation has become an indispensable part of our community, whether you’re commuting to class, heading to work or exploring the region.
