Student & employee parking

cars parked in a parking lot

Faculty, staff and students driving to campus may choose from a variety of parking products and payment options. Most permits can be purchased and renewed at our online customer portal. If you have not used the portal before, please review the customer portal guide first. You can also visit the Transportation Services office or contact us for more information. Please enter your vehicle information in your account on the online customer portal prior to contacting us.

Parking permits are assigned to specific lots or garages based on space availability at time of purchase. Parking in a lot different from the one on your permit may result in a citation.

Faculty, staff and students may purchase a motorcycle permit for their motorcycles, scooters and mopeds. These permits are not assigned to a specific lot; permit holders can park in any motorcycle stall across campus.

Your permit guarantees parking on campus, but not a space in your primary lot assignment. If your assigned lot is full and you have a quarterly or annual SOV or carpool permit, you can automatically park in your overflow lot for the day, without visiting a gatehouse for reassignment.

If your assigned lot is not listed below, please go to a campus gatehouse to be reassigned to a different lot for the day, or you may park in E18.

Employee parking permit holders who need to go to a different location for business reasons may request an out-of-area permit from any gatehouse reserve one online. Availability of these permits is limited, and depends on the parking area's capacity at that point in time.

Please be prepared to provide valid employee parking permit information as well as an active Husky Card. If the request exceeds three consecutive days, the permit holder will be referred to the Transportation Services office to find suitable resolution.

Out-of-area parking in unrestricted areas is allowed after 4 p.m. weekdays and on Saturday mornings with an active daytime annual or quarterly SOV permit, an active carpool permit or an active student residential parking permit. Value or short-term permits are not eligible for this benefit. Individuals with Pay-Per-Use Parking (PPUP) and/or AVI cards may use unrestricted areas but must either request an Out of Area through the Customer Portal or stop at a campus gatehouse to have their parking validated.

Please check signage in the lot carefully before you park. The lots listed below are unrestricted except for parking stalls painted or signed as restricted to certain types of permits or uses (for example: reserved spaces, University vehicle spaces and disability spaces). Numbered self-serve parking stalls fall into this category, and are not available for permit parking; parking in these stalls must be paid for at a pay machine.

*Out-of-area parking in E01 is only available to daytime annual or quarterly SOV permit holders. Use your Husky or AVI Card to access the lot at no additional charge.
