Lot E02 will be closed August 21, 2026 - November 19, 2027 for construction of upgrades to the lot. The upgrades will transform E02 into a fully electrified, secure fleet charging hub; delivering comprehensive EV charging infrastructure to establish a dedicated, reliable, and scalable fueling station to support current and future UW Fleet electrification needs.

Project scope:
EV charging infrastructure:
- Install 80 Level 2 EV chargers across the site including 2 EV ADA charging stalls
- Install 3 DC Fast Chargers to support high-demand and rapid turnaround charging
- Provide 3 DC ready infrastructure to support future expansion
Site security enhancements
- Upgrade and expand the video surveillance system to provide full 360° coverage of the parking lot
- Install a new access control gate to manage and secure vehicle entry using T2 systems
- Improve controlled pedestrian access for authorized users using CAAMS
