Expect heavy traffic Friday, May 2 for spring football game

This Friday, May 2, is the second annual Dawgs After Dark spring football game, starting at 6:30 p.m. This will bring heavy traffic to the roads and parking lots around Husky Stadium, similar to how weekday games do in the regular season.

Based on last year, we expect significant backups around lots E12 and E18 in particular. In addition, the road in front of Husky Stadium between E17 and E20 will be closed to all traffic from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the football game. If you normally park in one of these lots, please allow additional time.

Everyone coming to campus on Friday, May 2, whether for the game, for classes or for work, is encouraged to consider using a green transportation method for the day: bike, take a bus or light rail, walk, carpool, or adjust your work schedule. When you choose a different option on game day, it means one less car contributing to traffic congestion and one less car requiring a parking space.

Parking for the football game begins at 2 p.m. in E17, E18, E20 and E21 lots, and in E12 at 4:30 p.m. The normal event parking rate of $20.25 will apply.
