Upcoming Link service disruptions

Last updated: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
Following a record-breaking month of June for Link during the World Cup, work is continuing to strengthen system resiliency. Below are upcoming planned 2 Line service disruptions to support that effort.

July 26, August 22, and August 23 (Full days)
To accommodate power repairs, full day closures of the 2 Line are planned between Lynnwood and South Bellevue stations. Shuttle buses will replace trains between International District / Chinatown and South Bellevue stations, operating every 10 – 15 minutes. The 1 Line will operate with enhanced weekend service every 8 minutes.

July 28 – 30 (July Extended Maintenance Window)
Shuttle buses will replace the 2 Line between International District / Chinatown and South Bellevue Station beginning at 9:30pm to the end of service.

August 4 – 6 (Late nights)
Beginning at 10:30 p.m. each night through the start of service the following morning, shuttle buses will replace 2 Line trains between BelRed and Downtown Redmond while crews replace surge arrestors to improve electrical reliability.

We encourage riders to plan ahead by using the Sound Transit Trip Planner tool and checking the Rider Alerts page for the most up-to-date service information.
