Burke Gilman Trail planned closure near Plant Services

The Burke Gilman Trail will be closed between NE 47th Street and Pend Oreille Road from Wednesday October 16 through Friday October 18 from 9am to 2:30pm, and Saturday October 19 from 7:30am to 2:30pm. There will be detour signs in place to redirect traffic to Pend Oreille Place behind the Plant Services building (see graphic below).  

This closure is necessary to perform maintenance to resolve water and ice over the trail in the wet season, clean existing drainage ditches and culverts, and install two new culverts. The work will also remove a few small dead trees at risk of falling onto the trail and install erosion control barriers to control silt and cover bare soil.
