The Assigned vehicle rental program provides vehicles to departments through a vehicle lifecycle arrangement. A wide variety of vehicle types are available to order for long term use with specific options changing from year to year.
Departments work with Fleet Services staff to determine their vehicle needs. Vehicles are ordered directly from manufacturers by Fleet Services for a custom build based on the needs assessment. Departments enter into a multi-year rental contract with Fleet Services for the lifecycle of the vehicle. Typically this is a 60-month term (5 years).
Departments interested in acquiring an assigned vehicle can contact Fleet Services with questions or fill out and submit the Long-term rental request form to get started. Since vehicles are built to order, it can take up to a year to complete the process.
