ORCA and Sound Transit have announced that starting Monday, February 23, most ORCA card readers will start accepting direct payment from credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets. This is an exciting update for regional transit, allowing more methods of payment and more seamless travel for visitors and occasional transit users. You can read the joint announcement here
Please note: U-PASS holders will continue to have the same access as before, but riders will want to take care to only tap their U-PASS, removing it from wallets or other containers before tapping to avoid unwanted charges on other cards or tap failures.
