Continuing to pay for a bike house or bike locker permit ensures that you retain your spot in your bike house or locker. If you do not wish to pay for your permit and choose to cancel, it is important to note that you may lose your priority access to your current house or locker and may not be able to purchase parking there again.

Canceling a bike house or bike locker permit

To cancel your bike house permit, please email ucommute@uw.edu with the subject line ‘Cancel bike house permit’ to assist us in addressing your request quickly:

  • Include your employee ID number and a statement indicating you wish to cancel your permit and stop payroll deduction.
  • You will receive an email to confirm the cancellation of your permit and payroll deductions. 
  • Cancellations will be completed as they are received and may take longer than a week to process. 
  • Cancellations will be reflected on or after the April 25 paycheck.

  • Include your employee ID number and a statement indicating you wish to cancel your permit and stop payroll deduction.
  • You will receive an email to confirm the cancellation of your permit and payroll deductions. 
  • Cancellations will be completed as they are received and may take longer than a week to process.
  • Cancellations will be reflected on or after the April 25 paycheck.
  • Key returns and key deposit refunds cannot be processed at this time and will occur when campus operations return to normal and the Transportation Services office has resumed regular operations.

Can I purchase a bike house permit?

To purchase a bike house permit, email ucommute@uw.edu with your request to access a specific bike house location on campus. Please review the terms and conditions before submitting your request.

Is there someone on campus to help with maintenance needs (e.g. door opening) associated with my bike locker or bike house?

Transportation Services is still able to offer maintenance support for bike lockers and houses. Please email commuteoptions@uw.edu if you require assistance.

There is an abandoned bike at the rack near my office. Who can I contact to have it removed?
