Hosting a visitor or guest to your department? Do you have an employee or affiliate who regularly needs to park in different locations? Here are the options available to pay for their parking:
For visitors:
- Use the arranged parking form to order and pay for prearranged visitor parking.
- Distribute coupon codes for visitors to use in self-serve parking lots.
- Order a short-term permit for visitors spending several consecutive days or nights on campus.
- Pay for a permanent reserved parking space for department visitors.
For employees or frequent guests:
- Request a parking card for department affiliates. Visitors present the card at a gatehouse to receive a daily parking permit or swipe it for gate arm access if appropriate.
- Order a multi-lot permit. This enables department employees to park in various campus lots while conducting University business.

Many products must be ordered with a valid UW budget number. Expect at least five business days for processing, with additional waits at the start and end of each quarter. A rush order fee can be paid for faster processing.
Validation coupons for the South Campus Garage, CPG and Triangle Garages are no longer being sold. Previously purchased coupons may still be used until their expiration date. Information about validated parking for hospital patients and visitors can be found on the UW Medical Center website.
Coupon codes are virtual codes that can be used in self-serve parking lots with pay machines. Organizers can give the same code to multiple visitors and are only billed after the code has been used. Use the arranged parking form to order coupon codes.

- Visitors must enter the code and their license plate into a pay machine upon arrival.
- Space is not guaranteed in a specific lot; availability is first-come, first-served.
- The code can be used for two-hour or three-hour increments, or at a daily rate for more than three hours.
- Coupon codes are not available in Central Plaza Garage or the Triangle Garage. They are available in S01, the top level of the South Campus Garage.
Short-term permits are designed for visitors spending several consecutive days on campus, such as for a conference or workshop. These permits are issued for a specific parking lot based on availability. The minimum duration for a short-term permit is two consecutive days.

Departments can pay to reserve an annual assigned space that can be used by visitors throughout the year.

Reserved parking spaces are approved only after review by Transportation Services. Please email ucommute@uw.edu to start this process. Once the space has been reserved, visitors do not need to display a permit to park there. Departments are responsible for directing visitors to the correct reserved space.
Parking cards are used for employees or other department affiliates who regularly visit campus. Each card is assigned to a specific lot based on availability. Once the card has been issued, visitors must present it at a gatehouse to receive a daily parking permit or swiped for gate arm access if appropriate.

This permit is designed for employees who have a business need to move around campus and park in more than one lot. Multi-lot permits are based on availability and must be approved by the Transportation Services office and the appropriate department. Departments may pay for the entire multi-lot permit, or for the cost difference between a regular SOV permit and a multi-lot permit.

- S02, S08
- W10, W46
