Construction work at the Burke Museum will close parking area N01 on March 1
Once the New Burke is complete and all objects in the Burke collections have been moved to the new building, the existing museum will be demolished to make room for the new courtyard/parking area. On Friday, March 1 construction fencing will go up around the site to prepare for the demolition which includes all parking areas of N01.
Alternative parking options during the closure:
- N04 self-serve parking lot: Visitors may pay at the N04 pay station on a space available basis.
- Central Plaza Garage (entrance off of 15th Ave. NE): Check in with gatehouse staff at the garage entrance. If the garage is full, gatehouse staff will direct you to the next closest lot.
The new parking area is scheduled to be open mid to late September.
Dial-A-Ride Shuttle Stop closure:
The N01 closure will impact Dial-A-Ride Shuttle service for Stop 3 which is located within the N01 parking area. Dial-A-Ride customers should use Shuttle Stop 1 at Paccar Hall during the closure.
