Paid parking on UW campus resumes June 1
Parking enforcement will resume Monday, June 1 across most of the UW campus, including the Central Plaza Garage and the UW Tower. The E01 and E18 parking lots will remain free for all staff parking, but all other parking lots and garages will be charged at their regular rates.
After two months of no-charge parking, we are resuming regular parking operations in order to support the University’s 3.4 million square feet of lots and garages. Parking revenue supports maintenance of this infrastructure and Transportation Services employee salaries as well as other transportation programs for everyone who comes to campus.
Parking enforcement for the main lots and garages near the UW Medical Center - Montlake resumed on Monday, May 18 in support of the hospital opening up to non-urgent procedures. After June 1, all parking areas except E01 and E18 will require a valid UW parking permit. Gate arms will remain up for E01, but will be down in all other gated lots and garages.
- Faculty and staff: If you have previously canceled your parking permit and now need to purchase a new one, please email ucommute@uw.edu.
- Visitors: Please take advantage of self-serve parking options, including pay-by-phone. As of June 1, the Central Plaza Garage and South Campus gatehouses will be open Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The other gatehouses will remain closed until further notice.
