Congratulations on joining UW as a resident or fellow. There are many parking options available to you as an employee and we invite you to learn more about them at our Faculty & staff parking page. If you have further questions after reviewing this information online, contact Transportation Services at ucommute@uw.edu.
The following two options are available pay-as-you-go parking options, and will be available to you in the Customer Portal. We also have a helpful Customer Portal guide which can help you get started.
Daily permits
Daily permits can be purchased in certain lots for same-day parking or for a specific day up to two weeks in advance. They can be purchased online with a credit card. Lot selections are based on space availability at the time of purchase. Daily permits are not available in all lots.
The rate for a Daily permit is $9.84/day or $3.28/night, but will increase to $10.26/day and $3.42/night on July 1, 2025.
Return policy: You may only return Daily permits for future days paid and they can be returned up to the day before they are active. Daily permits cannot be returned for days past, even if unused. Review our return policy for more information.
Follow the Sign up for Daily permit parking instructions below to get started.
Pay-per-use parking (PPUP) available July 1

Here's what you'll need
- Your UW NetID login information (you'll need this before you log in to the online customer portal)
- Accurate vehicle information completed in your online customer account including make, year, and license plate number
Why we need this information
UW NetID
Your UW NetID confirms your UW affiliation as an employee and allows our parking system to sell you employee parking permits. If there are no UW NetID credentials for us to reference, we are unable to sell you the parking products that are available to you as an employee.
Vehicle information
Submitting accurate vehicle information through your online customer account saves time in processing your parking request. It is important to put in accurate vehicle information to reduce the risk of citation. If you do not currently have a Washington state license plate, please submit your current license plate information. For more information about how to enter your license plate information online, please visit our customer portal guide.

Pay-per-use permits (PPUP) are available to faculty and staff who are eligible for payroll deductions. With PPUP you can come and go in your assigned PPUP lot by using an AVI card or swiping your Husky Card. You can also park in E01 by swiping your Husky Card to raise the entrance gate. Your parking fees are then deducted from your paycheck at the end of each pay period. The less you park, the less you pay. You can also track your usage during the current pay period online.

Please note: All payroll-deductible eligible employees may purchase PPUP permits directly in the portal throughout June, however, those who purchase a new PPUP permit in June must immediately renew for FY26 as these permits are based on the current fiscal year and will expire at the end of June unless renewed.
You can sign up for PPUP on the customer portal.
